We are pleased to announce the latest addition to the QED family of ultra-efficient LED lighting products; cold store lighting that can withstand environments with temperatures as low as -40°. With the new addition, we are now able to provide solutions to applications that experience extreme temperatures, such as cold storage chambers used for storing frozen goods.
The TLHB+-C LED Cold Storage High-Bay Lighting and TLLB+-C LED Cold Storage Low Bay Lighting boast industry-leading, high-quality illumination through their superior international-standard LM80 compliant LEDs. These products have a lifespan of 100,000 hours and the units meet the photometry standards for workplace luminaries ‘EN10302-2’. Both units can withstand a temperature range of -40° to +50° making them the right product for a huge variety of applications.
The High Bay unit will give the best performance light in 10m-15m height applications, with the low bay unit working at optimal performance at a slightly lower 5m-10m. Each unit utilises a presence detection sensor and/or ambient light sensors making them energy-saving and cost-effective. Furthermore, the integrated driver design reduces cost of ownership and provides the best in class life.
The lights require minimal space for fitting with their slimline design, and the aluminium extrusion and polycarbonate front lens make them ultra-lightweight. The non-corrosive powder-coated composition offers unrivalled durability and product lifespan, making the units sturdy and suitable for a diverse range of industrial and commercial environments.
The Cold Store LED Lighting range has already proved its success – it was recently used to improve quality, reduce costs and lower energy consumption in two cold storage chambers owned by Bernard Matthews. With the TLLB-C fixtures using 50 percent less energy than conventional lighting, this particular application soon proved the performance-raising, cost-reducing product that Bernard Matthews needed – predicted to save the company over £511,000 over ten years. The TLHB+C is an evolution of this success. Designed for higher positioning, the unit typically provides a luminous flux of an impressive 24,000. The design will help us meet a broader range of applications, providing adequate illumination wherever necessary.
